At Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall, we work closely with children and their families to deliver personalised, compassionate support that fits around each child’s needs, routines, and personality.

We’re looking for experienced and caring Children’s Support Workers who enjoy working closely with families and want to make a real difference to a child’s life.

£12.24 per hour (weekdays)
£12.44 per hour (weekends)

A typical day

A typical day might involve:
Supporting a child with their morning routine or school preparation
Helping with meals and daily activities
Encouraging play, communication, and confidence
Supporting an outing or family activity
Helping a child feel settled, safe, and supported at the end of the day
No two days are the same, but every day is about helping a child feel understood and cared for.

Driving license required
Previous Experience required

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:
Delivering person-centred care, including personal care such as washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
Supporting children with physical, sensory, behavioural, and medical needs
Helping with daily routines, including school runs, mealtimes, and bedtime
Encouraging communication, confidence, and independence
Supporting community outings and social activities
Following detailed care plans and completing accurate care records
Working in partnership with families, schools, and healthcare professionals
