About the role
Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. We are looking for a female Live-in Care Assistant to support a young gentleman in his own home in St Erth. You will work a rolling rota of 2 weeks on and 1 week off. You will give one-to-one support with daily routines, personal care, moving and positioning, companionship and practical help around the home. You will also drive his adapted van so he can get to appointments, cricket matches and time with friends. There may be some unsocial hours when he is out socialising. This is a female-only role due to an occupational requirement.
Ideal candidate
You have previous care experience and are kind, patient and dependable. You are confident supporting someone one-to-one, comfortable giving personal care, and flexible about some unsocial hours. You hold a full UK driving licence and have the right to work in the UK. Full training is provided for this role.

A typical day
You help him start the day with personal care and his morning routine, then support him with whatever he has planned. That might be an appointment, a cricket match or seeing friends, with you driving his adapted van. At home you help with practical tasks, keep him company and support his independence and choices.
